COVID-19 Protocols


Agoura Pony Baseball COVID-19 Protocols for the Spring 2022 Season

Agoura Pony Baseball is following the required protocols as detailed in the Los Angeles County of Public Health Protocols for Organized Youth Sports effective December 28, 2022.  We are adopting the following rules and procedures. Guidelines specific to fields and facilities are only for those locations managed by Agoura Pony Baseball.  Fields and facilities managed by other leagues may have differing guidelines. 

 

Face Coverings

  • Participants, staff, coaches and players are not required to wear masks at Lupin (or other fields) but are strongly recommended to wear masks when at the fields.

 

League COVID-19 Safety Coordinator / Contacting APB if a Player or Coach Tests Positive

  • Our league COVID-19 Safety Coordinator is  Keith Halcovich. The League COVID-19 Safety Coordinator is responsible for notifying league members about potential exposures and following all related protocols and processes.

  • If you, your child, and/or a spectator who attended a game tests positive for COVID-19 and was infectious during your attendance at an APB event, we require that you notify the League COVID-19 Safety Coordinator at [email protected]. In compliance with privacy laws, names of individuals who are sick will not be released.


Steps to Take if a Player or Coach Tests Positive for COVID-19

  • The player’s family or coach must notify the league Covid-19 officer. Please provide the date of positive test in your email.

  • The family will be provided with a home isolation order which states that the player or coach will have to quarantine for 10 days from the date that they are symptom free.
  • Once the player or coach is symptom free they should notify the league and the 10-day clock will begin. 
  • Coaches and Players who test positive for Covid-19 can end the quarantine after 5 days only if the following criteria are met.
       1.  A negative Covid-19 Viral Test collected on the 5th day of being symptom free and
      2.  No Fever for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medicine and 
      3.  Other symptoms are improving

    OR
  • Once the 10 days have expired and the player has remained symptom free they will be allowed to resume baseball activities with their team.
