Make-up Tryouts are scheduled this week.

All players must tryout in order to play in APB.

  • Tryouts for Shetland are at Sumac Elementary in Agoura Hills.
  • Tryouts for Pinto, Mustang, Bronco and Pony are at Lupin Elementary Baseball Fields in Calabasas.

Players should bring a bat, batting helmet, baseball glove and should wear cleats if you have them.

Shetland - Saturday 9 -11 at Sumac

Pinto - Thursday, 4:00 p.m. 

Mustang - Friday  4:00 p.m.

Bronco - Wednesday: 4:00 p.m.

Frequently asked questions
Practices - Generally speaking, until games start, most teams will practice once during the week and once on the weekend (Sat or Sun). After games start in March, most teams tend to practice once a week in between games.
Games - Teams will generally play one game during the week and one game on the weekend (Sat or Sun).
What day/times are practices? Your team manager will determine which day(s) and times practices will be.
What day/times are games? Games are played 7 days a week. Weekday games start at 5pm whereas weekend times will vary throughout the day. Teams will rotate between different days and times each week.
What division will my child be in? See "Divisions & Teams" link to the left.
Where are the games/practices? See "Field Locations" link to the left.
What is the deadline for registration? January 19, 2012.
Is there walk-in registration? Yes. January 7, 2012 at Sumac Elementary, 9am - 2pm
When are tryouts? January 21-22, 2012. All divisions except for Shetland will tryout at Lupin. Shetland tryouts will be at Sumac.
When will I hear from my coach? All teams should be selected by February 3. If you do not hear from anyone by then, then please contact the Division Director.
When do practices start? February 5, 2012
When do games start? March 3, 2012

Used Baseball Equipment Fundraising Sale 
Our first sale was a hugh success - We collected $995 for the league and the remaining equipment has already been delivered to the Tai Collins University Little League at Martin Luther Park (sponsored by A Chance for Children). We got a terrific response from our community. Thanks to everyone who donated and helped out.

 Please do not park in marked reserved parking spaces or "do not park" zones at Lupin. Reserved spaces are in effect every day including weekends. Cars parked in these no parking places are subject to towing at the owner's expense. Thank you for your cooperation.

New Equipment Rule Changes Coming in 2012
Effective Spring 2012 and beyond, PONY Baseball has implemented new rules regarding the bat barrel size and base coaches helmets.
Bats - For ALL divisions (Shetland-Pony), bat barrels will be limited to no more than 2 5/8 inches in diameter. 2 3/4 inch barrels are now banned. Composite bats are still okay to use.
Base/Field Coach Helmets (Mustang American, Bronco, Pony) - ANY coach (base, pitching, etc.) that is on the field during play MUST wear a protective helmet while performing their duties on the field. For Shetland, Pinto and Mustang National, while not required, it is still recommended that coaches were helmets. Most of the helmet manufacturers make inexpensive base coach helmets.
